UPDATES!!!:
8/17/09: Wow, has it honestly been four months? Oh dear. WELL anyway, updates updates and updates.
Deviation Updates:
The Gears Summary has been deleted, simply for the fact that someone could easily steal my idea that way. New, better character concepts will be submitted as soon as possible.
Story Updates:
The title of GEARS has also been changed in the past few months, after multiple renovations. "Gears: The Legend of Yvette," or, preferably abbreviated as "Gears: LoY." Multiple changes have been made to the plot ending of the story as well. I will no longer plan on uploading the story here. It will be uploaded in a friend-only journal on Gaiaonline.com. Again, that is for copyright reasons.
Character Updates:
Characters have gone under a few changes as well, but nothing too major.
Area Updates:
I at first liked the idea of naming most of the Gears world after places in the bible, but found it hadn't held my interest, nor applied well to the style of the story. It's Steam Punk, not Jesus Era. Therefore, I will be renaming just about all of the locations in the story, accept Yvette, which will remain the same. Gethsemane will be changed, and the location of Valeerous has been changed to Magna Carta.
Well, I think that is just about all of the updates. I will upload a new map or something once I figure out the main places where the story is taking place. The country of Labyrinth will also remain the same.

4/13/09: I have a small stomach virus. Been puking since last night at around 10. I was going to work on character concepts, but I don't think I have it in me today.
4/10/09: I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience, but the character concepts that I originally promised will have to be withheld. There is a good and bad side to this. GOOD thing is, thanks to the help of Mitzi, I've finally discovered the perfect interpretation of what my world dwells in. If you would like good character clothing references, type in "steampunk" in any search engine. It blew my mind away, for it is exactly what I based the world in this story on. Now, this is why I am withholding the concepts. I want to rearrange their layout a bit more, and make it all look a bit more "steam-punkish" instead of so "pirate-ish." So, I can't promise when you'll get the first concept, but if you look that up, you'll get a good idea of how they will be dressed. 
4/9/09: I will now be uploading FOUR character concepts. Some of which are still in the sketch stage and in dire need of inking. The only one I have promised to you today is Deidrick.
4/8/09: I will be uploading THREE - count them, THREE character concepts this Thursday of the following characters:
